Our trails are open all year and are traffic free. Bedgebury is an award winning site and has been voted as one of the top places to ride in the UK by the Daily Telegraph and The Times. Whether it’s the nostalgic smell of wet bark, moist earth or pine that brings back memories of riding around in the woods as a child, or whether it’s about fitness and challenge or it’s just about spending quality time in a great environment, taking bikes out into the forest, experiencing the thrill of dedicated bike trails, going out for a day with your family, or using cycling as a tool to improve your health and fitness, we can help you get something wonderful out of cycling.
Easy: 9km/6 miles
Leisure Riding: The blue route is very much family orientated. The 9-kilometer leisure trail (with its shorter 4 kilometer loop) is a scenic forest route on managed way- marked paths and fire roads and can also take in the play area. The trail is surfaced, with many gentle gradients and some steeper inclines. The 4km short loop is ideal for young children and less experienced cyclists.
Graded Mountain Bike Singletrack: 13km/8 miles
Designed for mountain bikers and more adventurous riders who enjoy all the challenges, thrills and spills that this sport offers. This trail will test bike handling skills and fitness levels. There are some short sharp climbs, which also result in some fast, flowing technical descents. The single- track is broken-up into sections, normally dissected by a fire road, which provide the opportunity to give the trail ‘full gas’ and then re- group. The one-way route is waymarked and offers many challenges from roots, short sharp climbs, rocky terrain, berms and jumps.
The black-run is a short section on the red route, which features several drop-off style jumps. Riders can easily divert around this section if jumps are not wanted.
Dirt Jumps / Free-Ride
Just off the main path is a free ride area with a number of dirt jumps and tabletops.
